An interactive walk around Mayfield Churchyard for all age groups
In celebration of the best that love can be!
Like our Walk of Encouragement last year, search the garden for an uplifting message
Bring a prayer, and take (a) heart!
Take Heart!
An interactive walk around Mayfield Churchyard, to think about our love for those we love, their love for us, and above all a Love which is personal and inexhaustible. Like the Scavenger Hunt and the Walk of Encouragement, this will be designed with the national lockdown and Covid-19 regs in mind, and there’ll be reminders about how to take part safely. Come and enjoy it anytime from Sunday 14th Feb and through to & including Wednesday 17th.
It’s for all age groups, all genders, living alone or with others. You’ll find little knitted hearts on your walk around the churchyard to take home or move on to other places around the village, or to pass on to some one else.
There will also be a Prayer Tree to write your own prayers, and a ‘post box’ if you’d rather your prayers were not read by others. Your prayers on the tree will be brought into, and read, in our short 10.45 morning service on 21st Feb, and at the service on Zoom before that, at 9.30 (Let me know if you’d like joining details – Rev Martin Soar, 07952 610677. Both of these are weekly events). Please come and enjoy! Bring a prayer, and take (a) heart!
Volunteers were busy on Saturday 13th putting up hearts both knitted and with questions and messages all around the churchyard
Almost every tree has knitted hearts awaiting for you.
Inspirational messages mix with the mass of knitted hearts across the churchyard
